Line Tørmoen, dancer

Line is educated from The National Academy of Ballet in Norway. She was engaged with Carte Blanche, the National Company of Contemporary Dance in Norway, between 1993-2000 where she worked with choreographers such as Ina Christel Johannessen, Kenneth Kvarnström, Jo Strømgren, Rui Horta, Jens Østberg and Ørjan Anderson. She has worked freelance since 2000 mainly with Ina Christel Johannessen. In addition she has worked with Kublai Khan Investigations, François Verret and Jo Strømgren. In 2007 Line received Rolf Gammleng Prisen from Fund For Performing artists.

Line has worked with Ina for 18 years. She will be dancing in the company’s new creations for 2012; a duet together with Pia Elton Hammer with premiere 11. April at RAS in Sandnes, and as part of a team of 7 dancers for the larger co-production with NorrlandsOperan, Sweden, which will premiere 30. November.
