Cecilie is educated at The National Academy of Ballet in Norway where she now teaches regularly. She has worked as a dancer for 30 years, since 1985. Just as long, she has worked with Ina Christel Johannessen in Scirocco and zero visibility corp, ever since they studied together.

 

Except for 2 years in Carte Blanche, the performing arts free groups have been her working place, mainly Collage Dansekompani, Zakraz Dansekompani, Scirocco and zero visibility corp. She has worked with choreographers such as Jo Strømgren, Sølvi Edvardsen, Kristina Gjems McGill, Odd Johan Fritzøe, Lise Nordahl, Kjersti Alveberg, Karen Foss, Un-Magritt Nordseth, Øyvind Jørgensen, Ingun Bjørnsgaard, Eva-Cecilie Richardsen, Mia Habib, Emilia Adelöv, Giorgio Rossi og Kenneth Kvarnström.

 

Cecilie has received several national and international prizes for her work in the performing arts, and was the first to receive the Rolf Gammleng Award from Fund For Performing artists in 2003. Other prices are Performing Arts Hub Norway’s performing arts award in 1997 for the solo performance 180157 56780 and the jury’s Special Award for the same solo at THESPIS Internationales Monodramafestival in Kiel in 2001.
