Born In Qiryat Gat Israel. Yaniv started his dancing career at the age of 22 after studying at the Bat Dor school of dance in Tel Aviv. In 2001 Yaniv started freelancing as a dancer, he joined the Suzanne Dallal Center for Dance and Theater in Tel Aviv, and he worked with choreographer Javiar De Frotus (UK) among others.

 

After dancing one project with the Icelandic dance company he joined Carte Blanche and worked with choreographers such as Ina Christel Johannessen, Ohad Naharin, Ingunn Bjørnsgaard, Alan Lucien Øyen, Örjan Andersson, Bruno Listopad, Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar, DansDesign, Hofesh Shechter and more. Yaniv joined the Norwegian National Ballet for 'A swan lake' a new creation by Alexander Ekman. In 2015 he was part of the piece “The Guest” with zero visibility corp.

 

Since 2009, Yaniv has choreographed two full evening-length works and several short works that have been performed in Norway, Germany and Israel. He won 3rd prize in Hanover International Choreography Competition 2012 for his duet “I wish I was Johnny Cash”.  In 2013 he created the dance piece 'blanke ark – del 1' for Carte Blanche dance company.

 

In addition to his dance career, Yaniv is an autodidact photographer and cinematographer.
